Chick-fil-A Bowl gets ACC team Richmond Times Dispatch, VA - Dec 29, 2005 ATLANTA - The ACC has entered into an agreement to send one of its teams to Atlanta to take on an SEC opponent next year in the renamed Chick-fil-A Bowl. The contract, announced yesterday by the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, gives the bowl exclusive rights to the first team from the ACC immediately following any BCS selections. The ACC representative will be paid in excess of $3 million each year of the agreement through the 2009 season.
